This Service is provided by Yabu Games at no cost and is intended for use as is.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decides to use our Service. "Service" means the Yabu Games mobile games on the App Store and Google Play, and this website, yabugames.io.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will never sell your information, and will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

Who we are

Yabu Games is not a company. It is the name under which Mehmet Yavuz Özsoy, an independent game developer based in Istanbul, Türkiye, publishes mobile games. On the App Store our developer account is listed as "Yavuz OZSOY", and on Google Play as "Yabu Games". "Yabu Games", "we" and "us" in this policy mean Mehmet Yavuz Özsoy, who is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can reach us at info@yabugames.io.

Information collection and use

For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone and iPad, the Google Advertising ID on Android). The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

Depending on the game, the game and the services built into it may also collect information about your device (such as its model, operating system version and language), your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, how you interact with the game and with ads, and crash and performance data.

The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you (see Third-party services).

Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) handle downloads, updates and any store payments under their own privacy policies.

Advertising and your choices

Our games are free to play and show ads. We use Google AdMob and AppLovin MAX to show them. Both can work as ad mediation platforms: to fill an ad slot, they may also request ads from other ad networks that we have enabled in them, such as Meta Audience Network and Unity Ads.

Third parties, including Google, AppLovin, Meta and Unity, may be collecting, processing and sharing personal data, such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address and your interactions with ads, for advertising purposes, including serving interest-based (personalized) advertising and measuring ads. Third-party measurement partners may also be collecting and processing personal data as part of the Open Measurement Working Group to perform ad measurement.

We work with AppLovin to deliver ads in our mobile applications. For more information about AppLovin's collection and use of your information, visit https://legal.applovin.com/privacy/.

Your choices

  • Consent: where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), the game asks for your consent before your personal data is used for personalized ads.
  • iPhone and iPad: if the game asks for permission to track you (App Tracking Transparency) and you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the game cannot use your advertising identifier (IDFA). You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings (usually Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads).

If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.

Log data

We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device model, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Service providers

We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

  • to facilitate our Service;
  • to provide the Service on our behalf;
  • to perform Service-related services; or
  • to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

We want to inform users of this Service that these third parties have access to your Personal Information. The reason is to perform the tasks assigned to them on our behalf. However, they are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose.

This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts, and it loads nothing from other companies' servers. If you use the light/dark theme switch or the "Pause motion" button, that choice is saved only in your browser's local storage on your device and is never sent to us.

Our hosting provider, Netlify, automatically processes the technical data your browser sends (such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request) to deliver the pages and to keep the site secure (Netlify Privacy Policy). If you email us, we use your message only to answer you; our email is hosted by Google Workspace.

Job applicants

This section is our Applicant Privacy Notice. It applies when you apply for a job at Yabu Games through the form on our Careers pages or by email.

  • What we collect: your first and last name, email address and phone number; the position you apply for and whether you can work from our Istanbul office (hybrid); the links you give us (portfolio or CV, LinkedIn), your CV if you upload one (PDF), and your message; and technical data recorded with the submission, such as the date and time, your IP address and your browser type.
  • Why we use it: only to assess your application, to contact you about it and to run our hiring process. We don't use applications for marketing and we don't make decisions about you based only on automated processing.
  • Legal basis: taking steps at your request before possibly entering into an employment contract with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b); KVKK Article 5(2)(c)). The checkbox in the form only confirms that you have read this notice.
  • Who receives it: Netlify, our hosting provider, receives the form, checks it for spam with Akismet (a service of Automattic) and sends it to us by email. Netlify is based in the United States, so your application is transferred to the United States. Our email inbox, info@yabugames.io, is hosted by Google Workspace. We don't share your application with anyone else.
  • How long we keep it: we delete the copy kept by Netlify's form service, including any uploaded CV, once the application has been forwarded to us by email. We delete your application once we have made a decision about it, and at the latest three months after we receive it.

Please don't include sensitive information in your CV or message (for example about your health, religion or political opinions, or an ID number). You can withdraw your application at any time by emailing info@yabugames.io, and we will delete it.

Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do the necessary actions.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the KVKK in Türkiye, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable format, to withdraw your consent at any time, and to opt out of targeted advertising. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in Türkiye: Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu).

To use these rights, email us (see Request user data deletion). Because the services in our games identify devices by advertising IDs rather than names, please include the game's name, your platform (iOS or Android) and, if you can, your device's advertising ID.

Request user data deletion

When you install and use Yabu Games mobile applications, we can collect and process some of your data for different legitimate purposes. Yabu Games and its third-party partners collect data:

  • to provide you with the services you asked for;
  • to show ads, including personalized ads where you allowed them, and to measure them;
  • to run analytics and understand how users interact with our products and services in order to continuously improve them.

The third-party partners that Yabu Games shares data with are Google (AdMob and the ad networks it works with through AdMob mediation), AppLovin (AppLovin MAX and the ad networks it works with), Meta (Facebook SDK, Meta Audience Network), Unity (Unity Ads), GameAnalytics and Adjust.

Data deletion requests

Changes to this policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
